Ubisoft has announced that a new hero will be joining the Viking faction as part of For Honor Year 3 Season 3. Owners of the Year 3 Pass will gain access to the new Viking hero Jormugandr starting from 12pm PT on 1 August 2019, while other players can purchase him from 11am PT on 8 August 2019 for 15,000 Steel.

The Jormungandr is a Viking sectarian group, who worship the Great Serpent Jormungandr instead of the Norse pantheon of gods and goddesses like Odin or Thor. They are led by Hulda or Gretar, the respective female and male version of the new Viking hero the player will control.

According to the lore, they seek to crush the weak before Ragnarok comes, as they believe only the most worthy must remain for the Great Battle. Wielding their mighty War Hamarr during fights, they cull their opponents with their powerful attacks.

A new Breach map called the Viking fortress of Storr Stronghold will also arrive soon in the upcoming Year 3 Season 3 of For Honor, as well as further balancing updates for the existing roster, including the Nobushi, Shinobi, Orochi, and other heroes.

Players can catch an exclusive first look at For Honor Year 3 Season 3 on the official For Honor Twitch channel during the Warrior’s Den live stream at 9am PT on Thursday, 25 July 2019.
