Mortal Kombat Movie Reboot To Be R-Rated, Feature Fatalities
By Alleef Ashaari|July 12, 2019|0 Comment
The Mortal Kombat movie reboot sounds like it could be shaping up rather nicely, especially now that it’s been confirmed that it won’t be a watered-down video game movie.
According to Mortal Kombat movie reboot screenwriter Greg Russo, the upcoming movie will be R-rated and feature fatalities for the first time ever in the history of the franchise’s live-action adaptations.
Since it’s already been stated by other members of the team, I’m gonna put this one to bed. MK WILL be R-Rated and for the first time EVER, FATALITIES will FINALLY be on the big screen (and no I’m not gonna say which ones) You’ll just have to wait for the movie & see!!! 😉 pic.twitter.com/aVTewH4t28

He won’t reveal which of the many fatalities we’ve seen in various Mortal Kombat games throughout the years that we’ll be seeing in the Mortal Kombat movie reboot. However, it’ll be interesting for fans to speculate which of their favorite all-time fatalities will be making their way into the upcoming movie.
We already know that Sub-Zero is going to be in the Mortal Kombat movie reboot, played by Indonesian actor and martial artist Joe Taslim. Perhaps we’ll see one of these Sub-Zero fatalities (as seen in the video below).
His (arguably) most common fatality is pulling out the spine of his enemies (along with their heads) with his bare hands, which would be a gruesome sight in live-action.
