New Penn & Teller Game Brings Magic To PlayStation VR

Borderlands developer Gearbox Software originally launched the Penn & Teller VR: Frankly Unfair, Unkind, Unnecessary & Underhanded game for the PC on Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive last month. Now the game has been made available for the PS4 with PlayStation VR.

For those who’ve never heard of them, Penn & Teller is a duo of magicians/entertainers who have been performing together since the 1970s, best known for acts that combine both comedy and magic. They still currently perform, headlining the Rio in Las Vegas.

Penn & Teller VR: Frankly Unfair, Unkind, Unnecessary & Underhanded (or Penn & Teller VR: F U, U, U & U for short) is described as the world’s first VR prank game. Players can either prank their friends and family with over 12 tricks (or Bits) to choose from or take part in them in the single-player mode themselves.

These include interactive magical acts from something as simple as card tricks and a game of Whack A Mole to ones involving supernatural telekinetic powers and even escaping from a Houdini underwater cage.

Penn & Teller VR: F U, U, U & U is available to purchase at US$19.99 (or roughly RM82) on the PlayStation Store, but you’ll need PlayStation VR headset and PlayStation Move controllers to play the game.

In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
