Bungie has revealed a new trailer for the upcoming Destiny 2 Shadowkeep expansion, the Season Of The Undying. It teases an impending war with the robotic Vex army from Mars. In the trailer, we can hear the narration of Warlock Vanguard Ikora:

“We say that the Black Garden is the birthplace of the Vex, but it was not the beginning.

It was the reason. The life in the Garden called out a question.

The Vex are the answer.

They will do anything to protect the Garden.

In these things, there is symmetry. The gateways have opened. The Vex are coming.”

The Black Garden is a location featured in Destiny 1, but it was never fully explored, which is what the upcoming Shadowkeep expansion will do. The idea of ancient robotic machines rising from slumber has always been a fascinating concept for me, and the trailer looks epic in that regard.

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep is slated to launch on 1 October 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
