Gamescom 2019: Time To Shoot Poor Schmucks Into Space Yet Again In Kerbal Space Program 2
We’ve had a ton of fun with Kerbal Space Program back in 2015, where you have to launch spaceships helmed by Kerbal astronauts to safety, or die trying. Except they’ll be doing the dying, not so much you. It’s like Lemmings for a new generation of gamers, but with a huge dash of space engineering and science in the mix.
Now we have a sequel incoming thanks to publishers Private Division and developers Star Theory Games. The game will be released in the first quarter of 2020 for US$59.99 on PC. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will be out shortly after.
The trailer below starts off serious with a nice indie band soundtrack, completely juxtaposed with the frequent accidents of the Kerbal astronauts. Funny stuff!
New features in the sequel include:
Can’t wait to start tinkering around with spaceships and shuttles while praying the little Kerbals to make it through the first 10 times.
