Nvidia Is Making Changes To Its Cloud Gaming Platform
By Burhanudin Zamri|September 20, 2019|0 Comment
A few years ago, Nvidia launched its own cloud gaming platform called GeForce Now. However, it’s still in beta and only a select number of people will get the opportunity to try it out.
Recently, a new update was rolled out that made big changes to GeForce Now’s UI. It transformed the Netflix-like home page to something that resembles most game launchers today like Steam and the Epic Games Store.
One of the hardest things to do in the previous menu is to actually search for a game. The main page would categorise games according to new releases, free-to-play, and so on. The new update puts a larger search bar on that page and welcomes the user with a view of their own games library.
According to PC Gamer, Nvidia claims that it has improved the search bar so that users can find specific games easier through detailed descriptions and tags. Once you do find a game, there will also be more info available for you to look through.
“If you’re looking for a post-apocalyptic game that features kittens in sweaters, we may have a game for that,”
– Nvidia, speaking to PC Gamer.
Unfortunately, a major bug affecting the new UI was recently discovered. Nvidia has decided to withhold the update for now as they are trying to fix the issue. GeForce Now members can still use the current version without any problems.
It’ll probably take a few days for the fix to be rolled out so users will have to wait a bit longer to get that new UI experience.
