Babylon’s Fall Is Looking Slick

Square Enix and PlatinumGames are teaming up once again for an upcoming action title called Babylon’s Fall, which was announced at last year’s E3. We’ve got a glimpse of gameplay below thanks to the recent PlayStation State of Play video showcase.

And yes, it features the usually slick PlatinumGames action touch.

According to a PlayStation Blog post, the game’s graphics are using a “brushstroke visual art-style delivered by the original “Brushwork Filter””. That’s all well and good, but the meat here is the action, which features the usual crowd-fighting and spectacle-heavy big boss fights.

Your main character, unnamed at this point in time, can use magic swords for combos, and grapple onto things to cover distances quickly. He can also steal weapons big and small, from the looks of things.

Based on the last shot of the trailer (see below), we may be playing more than one character in this fantasy title. Perhaps they lean towards the beat-em-up archetype?

Until more info is revealed next summer, all we can do is speculate further. And probably replay this sweet trailer over and over.
