Cook And Feast As King Arthur In New Fate Cooking Game Coming Out This Year
By Burhanudin Zamri|January 2, 2020|0 Comment
The Fate/Stay Night universe is known for many things. Legendary heroes, heartbreaking storylines, and of course, extremely detailed cooking sections. For that third element, they turned it into an entire manga and anime. Now it’s going to be made into a game.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OntAkbR-aGc&w=560&h=315]You read that right, folks. Emiya-san Chi no Kyou no Gohan is getting a video game. It’s being made for the Nintendo Switch and planned to be released in spring 2020. The cooking game is being developed by Kadokawa Games.
You’re put in the shoes of sword-lover and chef-extraordinaire Emiya Shirou. However, you’re not the one doing the cooking. Genderbent King Arthur AKA Saber is there for you to guide. The objective here is to help her choose ingredients and teach her how to cook.
Judging by what’s shown in the above trailer, the cooking sections play out like rhythm games. After preparing your meal, Saber herself eats them and you’re given ratings based on your performance. Finally, a game that lets you claim you S-ranked a plate of curry rice.
The game hasn’t even gotten CERO rating yet so I’m sure we’re very far away from any news of an English localisation. I have a feeling it will never be localised due to the lack of demand in the Western market. For you Fate cooking fans out there, let’s hope I’m wrong.
You can check out the game’s official website here.
