Dumpster Fire Genre

For when you just want to feel dirty and filthy with nasty harem nonsense.

1) Gotoubun no Hanayome (Haruba Negi)

It’s a harem, but all the girls are quintuplets! It was adapted into a highly popular TV anime last year and Season 2 is on the way. A rollercoaster ride befitting its genre.

2) Domestic na Kanojo (Sasuga Kei)

Also adapted into a TV anime, the story kicks off with our two leads having sex despite not liking, and definitely not in love with each other.

It’s a dumpster fire involving two sisters and a meddling third girl. It’s crazy intense.

3) Kanojo Okarishimasu (Miyajima Reiji)

Currently, Kanokari is my favorite dumpster fire. The English title is literally  “Rental Girlfriend”. You visit a website, browse the catalogue of girls, pay them to spend a day with on date and she will treat you like a girlfriend would. I mean, the premise itself is already designed for disaster.

4) Scum’s Wish (Yokoyari Mengo)

This has also been animated, but who cares, the manga is GREAT. Two friends-with-benefits get intensely intimate with each other in order to compensate for not being able to be with the true targets of their respective affection. Dramatic and sizzling.

5) Love and Lies (Tsumugi Musawo)

Imagine falling in love with someone, only to find out that your married partner has been determined by the government. Yes, a dumpster fire is exactly what happens – especially when your lover and your government-designated partner choose to become friends.
