Gamescom has announced the first wave of exhibitors who’ve signed up for Gamescom 2020. Among the 29 names are Bandai Namco, Capcom, CD Projekt Red, Microsoft, Nintendo, Ubisoft, NCSOFT, and THQ Nordic.

While this is only the first batch of exhibitors, Sony’s absence is still noticeable, especially considering the presence of competitor Microsoft. The company previously skipped this year’s PAX East and the Game Developers Conference due to Covid-19 fears, with GDC 2020 eventually getting “postponed“.
However, there’s still the chance that they’ll show up in a future exhibitors list. This year’s Gamescom will be held in Cologne from 25 to 29 August 2020. This will be followed by Gamescom Asia from 15 to 18 October 2020 in Singapore.
