It looks like the 2020 summer movie season will be more of a wasteland than expected. Disney and Marvel Studios have announced that Black Widow has been officially delayed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic (via Variety).
The Black Widow movie was originally slated to premiere on 30 April 2020. It is now the fourth Disney movie to be delayed after Mulan, The New Mutants, and Antlers. The last movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was Spider-Man: Far From Home, which premiered in June/July 2019.
Black Widow was supposed to kick off the fourth phase of the MCU, and this delay might cause the entire Phase Four plans to be disrupted. It joins the following movies which have been postponed and delayed so far:
In the meantime, you can rewatch the final Black Widow trailer below to make up for the delay.
