The PS5 Is Getting A Cosmic Horror FPS Exclusive À La Dead Space

Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris developer TeamKill Media has announced Quantum Error, a “cosmic horror” first-person shooter for the PS5 and PS4. After Godfall and WRC 9, this is one of several new games confirmed for the upcoming next-gen console, as well as one of its first confirmed exclusives.

Could Quantum Error be a PS5 launch game? We don’t know yet for sure, but the fact that the title is also coming to PS4 as a cross-gen release strongly indicates that this will be a title that will likely be launching pretty soon.

Not much has been revealed about Quantum Error so far, besides the fact that it’ll be something like a cross between Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation and Bethesda’s Prey reboot, but most importantly, it looks like a successor to Visceral Games’ Dead Space.

The developer has also confirmed that they’re targeting a 4K 60FPS experience for Quantum Error on the PS5. The game will also utilize the PS5’s revolutionary 3D audio technology and ray-tracing capabilities (check out more details on PS5 specs here).

A tweet from the official Twitter account for Quantum Error earlier today showcased one of the weapons from the game; an RPG.

In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
