The Mandalorian Season 3 Has Already Begun Pre-Production

The Mandalorian Season 2 isn’t out yet (it’s due in October 2020), but it seems that a third season is already in the works.

As reported by Variety, pre-production for the third season is already underway. It seems that creator Jon Favreau has been “writing season 3 for a while”, while the art department started working on Season 3 concepts a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, production design started just a few days ago on 20 April.

One source told Variety that they’re “looking into further adventures for The Mandalorian in Season 3″, while another said that the production design department needs “such a huge lead time”, hence why “the gears have started grinding really early on”.

It’s clearly still too early to know what Season 3 will be about, and we don’t even know much about Season 2 yet, although it seems that it’ll feature a Gamorrean. Disney Plus isn’t even available in Southeast Asia yet, but if you don’t mind using a VPN and stuff, check out our review of The Mandalorian’s first season to see if it’s up your alley.
