CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher Series Sales Surpass 50 Million
By Alleef Ashaari|May 29, 2020|0 Comment
CD Projekt Red has announced that their The Witcher franchise has sold a whopping 50 million worldwide to date. The franchise began with 2007’s The Witcher, followed by 2011’s The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, but it’s undeniable that the biggest contributor is 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt alone has sold 28 million to date, which is more than half of the total 50 million. 2018 also saw the release of spin-off Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. This feat is even more impressive considering that the series only sold five million units before The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was announced in 2013.
Before The Witcher 3 was announced (Feb 2013), the series as a whole had sold around 5 million units.
Now the series is over 50 million, with The Witcher 3 contributing over 28 million units alone. https://t.co/4vFhnFwVjb

Over 50 million adventurers joined Geralt on his journey from Kaer Morhen to Vizima, through Flotsam and Vergen, Velen and Novigrad to Skellige Isles and Toussaint, and many, many more places, time and time again…
