The Witcher Season 2 Will Resume Production This August
It’s official: Netflix’s The Witcher is getting a second season.
The trials and tribulations of one Geralt of Rivia (played by Henry Cavill) will be back in production this 17th August, according to a recent tweet. Production was initially halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that can’t be helped.
I’m dusting off my lute and quill,
I have some news, some mead to spill:
After all the months we’ve been apart
It’s time for production to restart.
The Witcher and his bard – who’s flawless,
Will reunite on set 17 August.— The Witcher (@witchernetflix) June 22, 2020
The studio in charge of the production, the UK-based Arborfield Studios, was reopened earlier this June due to the country’s coronavirus movement restriction being eased up. When will the show be out on Netflix? We’re thinking later in 2021.
We’ll keep you posted on all Witcher going-ons and release dates. Let’s celebrate the fact that it’s going to be in production with one of the show’s kick-ass fight scenes.
