Universal Studios Japan Delays Super Nintendo World Theme Park
Bad news for folks who want to travel later this year to Japan for that sweet Super Nintendo World theme park action: Universal Studios announced that the particular video game-themed section will be postponed.
Previously, it was supposed to open “this summer”, but now it’ll be labelled as “indefinitely”. On a side note, the Osaka branch of Universal Studios has been opened since 8th June but under limited capacity.
The Mario-themed area was going to open with Mario Kart and Yoshi’s Adventure rides, along with areas such as Bowser and Princess Peach’s respective castles. Visitors are given magnetic wristbands for this section to interact with the park and keep score. Guess we’ll have to wait a little longer before we relive our Stage 1-1 traversing fantasies in real life.
