Millions Of People Saw DC FanDome; Who Knew?
By Alleef Ashaari|August 28, 2020|0 Comment
DC FanDome was DC Comics and Warner Bros’ grand experiment; an entirely virtual event free for everyone to around the globe to watch and participate in. The first day of DC FanDome was ambitious, with 24 hours of live streaming announcements and reveals for video games, movies and more.
Was it a success? Well, according to statistics provided by Warner Bros (via Variety), it definitely was. DC FanDome managed to attract over 22 million views across 220 countries and territories in its first day.
In addition, the total number of views accumulated by all the new trailers released during DC FanDome, including Matt Reeves’ The Batman, Warner Bros Montreal’s Gotham Knights and the Justice League Snyder Cut, attracted over 150 million views.
Besides that, DC FanDome also trended on Twitter in 53 markets, and on YouTube in 82 markets. Ultimately, the event was very much a success, and certainly much better than the lacklustre showing of the Comic-Con At Home event earlier this year.
