New Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer Unveils Cheetah In All her Glory

DC FanDome kicked off earlier today with the Wonder Woman 1984, in which DC Comics fans managed to ask several questions.

The cast appeared in the panel, including director Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, and Pedro Pascal. Lynda Carter, who starred in the classic Wonder Woman TV series that ran from 1975 to 1979, also made a surprise cameo appearance on the panel.

At the end of the panel, Jenkins revealed the second official trailer for Wonder Woman 1984. The trailer revealed a more extensive look at the film’s two villains, Barbara Ann Minerva AKA Cheetah (Kristen Wiig), and Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal).

It seems that Lord has somehow discovered a way to give people their deepest desires, which for Diana Prince AKA Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) is the return of her deceased love interest Steve Trevor (ChrisPine), who was last seen at the end of 2017’s Wonder Woman.

The biggest revelation is our first clear look at Cheetah in all her furry glory, tail and all. She sort of looks inspired by the Cheetah design in NetherRealm’s Injustice franchise.

Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to premiere in Malaysian cinemas on 2 October 2020. Check out the brand new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer below.
