Crash Bandicoot 4 Adds Tawna As A Playable Character With A Twist

Remember that buxom furry Tawna in the first Crash Bandicoot? She’s now getting a makeover in the fourth official Crash Bandicoot game.

Here’s how she looks in the original games. It was a different time back then..

Here’s how she looks now.

On a PlayStation Underground reveal, developer Toys For Bob showcases a first look at a playable Tawna in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Here, she sports an 80s punk look & attire, and a grappling hook that allows her to traverse the area. She is also the only character in the game who can wall jump, so expect a ton of fast-paced levels featuring this anthropomorphic bandicoot.

The devs also demo’ed an Inverted Mode where the level is played in reverse, with colours splashing around and repainting the map when you break crates and kill enemies. Best of all, the game will have a playable demo on 16th September, but only if you pre-order the game digitally from the PlayStation Store.

Check out the full gameplay reveal below as well as some new Tawna concept art from Toys For Bob. Crash Bandicoot 4 will be out 2nd October.
