Here’s What We Know About Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis So Far
Sega just unveiled a crapton of info and new gameplay of its upcoming JRPG rebirth-slash-update to its free-to-play MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2, that’s going under the full moniker Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.Â
Here’s a quick recap:
-The game features new actions on the field like dash, double-jumping, and gliding, which helps in making traversal fun.
-The game’s healing system has changed; you can find healing nodes out in the field to keep your health restored while you’re on the move.
-In New Genesis, you can move between areas seamlessly and not via stage transitions. The game features an open field and a dynamic weather system that changes and probably affects enemies, areas, and player characters.
–New Genesis features three classes so far: Hunter, Ranger, and Force user. Combat-wise, most classes have 5-combo attacks, with the 5th attack being as powerful as a Photon Art.
