How It Started/How It’s Going – A Video Game Twitter Thread

Twitter is currently riding the “How It Started/How It’s Going” picture trend. Basically, someone posts a picture of their younger self and their current self side-by-side, mostly to show how successful they’ve been or how much they’ve changed for the better.

It’s arguably a humblebrag ploy for people with low self-esteem, but to each their own. But that isn’t stopping our industry & culture from participating, right?

Video game companies and devs are jumping in on this bandwagon, usually with hilarious(?) results. Here are a few we’ve spotted from official gaming accounts:

Doom

Fallout 76

Halo

Xbox

Alan Wake

Streets of Rage 4

Cyberpunk 2077

Unfold Games & Darq

Dragon Ball FighterZ

Ubisoft & Assassin’s Creed

This one stings the most.

We’ll be sure to add more later in the week if we find any new ones. Let us know which ones are your favourite(s) here.
