Netflix Renews Space Force For Season 2

Netflix’s Space Force debuted earlier this year in May 2020, which seems like a lifetime ago by now. Several months later, the streaming giant has finally renewed the comedy series about the establishment of a new branch of the U.S. military called Space Force for a second season.

According to Netflix, a whopping 40 million members watched at least the first two minutes of Space Force in the first month of its premiere. That’s pretty impressive viewership numbers.

Space Force Season 2 is expected to start production sometime in 2021 (via The Hollywood Reporter), with Brooklyn Nine-Nine producer Norm Hiscock joining as a co-showrunner with Greg Daniels.

Returning cast members include Steve Carell, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, Diana Silvers, and Jimmy O. Yang. All ten episodes of the first season are currently streaming on Netflix.
