The Book Of Boba Fett Will Be A Separate Show From The Mandalorian

After last week’s The Mandalorian Season 2 finale, Disney Plus has finally officially announced The Book Of Boba Fett. It will be a separate TV series from the upcoming The Mandalorian Season 3.

However, it will take place in the same general timeline and timeframe as The Mandalorian. This opens up the possibilities for more potential crossovers between the two series.

The tweet also confirms that both Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen will reprise their roles as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, respectively. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Robert Rodriguez (all of whom are also involved with The Mandalorian) will be executive producers of the new series.

According to Variety, The Book Of Boba Fett is already in production, which means that we might be seeing it premiere before The Mandalorian Season 3. It is set to premiere sometime in December 2021.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is set to enter production right after The Book Of Boba Fett finishes filming so we might be seeing it a bit later than December 2021.

The Book Of Boba Fett is the eleventh Star Wars TV series to be announced after the ten previously-announced ones, which includes an Ahsoka series and more.

In the meantime, check out my breakdown of The Mandalorian Season 2 finale and what it might mean for Season 3.
