Mass Effect Legendary Edition Beams Down This May

Mass Effect Legendary Edition was initially announced in November 2020, but it only received a vague 2021 release window back then. Now EA and BioWare have finally announced the release date for the highly-anticipated remastered trilogy of games.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is slated to release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC on 14 May 2021.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will include the entire Mass Effect trilogy with updated “textures, shaders, models, effects and technical features” as well as all single-player DLC and promotional packs, remastered for 4K Ultra HD. This includes single-player base content and over 40 DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 games, including promo weapons, armours, and packs – remastered and optimized for 4K Ultra HD.

Those looking to replay the trilogy will be happy to learn that they can now choose to play as the iconic Femshep from Mass Effect 3 across all three titles, and the first Mass Effect will feature gameplay enhancements like improved aiming and weapons balance, SFX, input/controls, squad behaviour, cover behaviour, and gameplay cameras.

Also, it seems that FemShep is getting the spotlight she deserves. So much so that the character’s VO Jennifer Hale was touched by the gesture (via Twitter).

In the meantime, check out the epic trailer below:
