An Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Board Game Is In The Works

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim The Board Game is on the way from Modiphius Games, publisher of miniature games based on franchises like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls.

The project will launch on Gamefound, a new crowdfunding platform custom-built for tabletop games.

Speaking with Polygon, Awaken Realms founder and CEO Marcin Åšwierkot said:

“I think that the board games are the ones pushing the boundaries to the limits of what is possible [on Kickstarter].

They are certainly the most innovative in terms of rewards […] the most complex for sure.

I guess we as board gamers like to make things complex for ourselves.”

What’s unique about Gamefound is that it includes key information such as the timeline of campaigns, and details on their current funding levels, as well as a focus on community features like a robust comments system with threaded conversations and hashtags. Only five percent of the funds raised will go to Gamefound, while three percent of funds raised will go to the payment processor.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim The Board Game will be the first project from Modiphius to launch on Gamefound. However, no details have been revealed about the project, but those interested can sign up at Gamefound for future updates. The crowdfunding campaign is expected to go live sometime in June 2021.
