Ratchet & Clank Is Getting A 60 FPS PS5 Update

Insomniac Games’ 2016 Ratchet & Clank game will receive a patch for the PS5 to add support for 60 FPS gameplay. The game is currently still available for everyone (on both PS4 and PS5) to download for free until 31 March 2021 as part of the returning PlayStation At Home initiative.

The Ratchet & Clank 60 FPS PS5 update will arrive sometime in April 2021.

Nine other games are also available for free as part of Play at Home including Abzu, Enter the Gungeon, Rez Infinite, Subnautica, The Witness, Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Moss, Thumper, and Paper Beast for PlayStation VR. Unlike Ratchet & Clank, these games will be available until 22 April 2021. Meanwhile, Horizon Zero Dawn will be available for free between 19 April and 14 May 2021.

This is a great strategy by Sony and Insomniac to hype up the upcoming Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, which is slated to launch exclusively for the PS5 on 11 June 2021.
