The Borderlands Movie Adds Marvel Actress As Tiny Tina
By Alleef Ashaari|March 3, 2021|0 Comment
The Borderlands movie cast just keeps growing and growing.
Ariana Greenblatt joins Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Jack Black in the upcoming Borderlands movie directed by Eli Roth. Greenblatt is best known for starring as a younger version of Gamora in 2018’s Avengers Infinity War.
She will be playing the role of Tiny Tina, an unstable 13-year-old explosive expert who featured as an NPC in Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands 3.
Borderlands developer Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford himself confirmed the news on Twitter.

Even Ashly Burch, the original voice actress for Tiny Tina, approves of the casting:
The first character I ever voiced, written by my brother, inspired by our weird web series and our high school friend Christina, is now going to be in a multi-million dollar movie. Life is weird! Congratulations, @ArianaG!

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, director Eli Roth said about Greenblatt’s casting:
“Ariana is a spectacular new talent in cinema.
She has already worked with many of my close collaborators and everyone raves about her.
She blew us all away in her audition, and I cannot wait to see her bring the wild, insane and unpredictable Tiny Tina to the big screen.
She’s going to blow up on screen like one of Tina’s grenades.”
Directed by Eli Roth, the Borderlands movie doesn’t have a release date yet but is slated to begin production soon in Hungary.
