New Army Of The Dead Trailer Even Has A Zombie Tiger

Netflix has unveiled the first full trailer for Zack Snyder’s Army Of The Dead, which is slated to premiere on 21 May 2021 on the streaming service.

The new trailer is a lot longer than the previous teaser trailer, and shows a lot of Dave Bautista’s main protagonist character, along with the rest of the ensemble cast. Most importantly, we get closer looks at some of the zombies in the upcoming movie, including a freaking zombie tiger.

The synopsis reads:

“Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.”

The cast includes Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Samantha Win, Richard Cetrone and Michael Cassidy.

Speaking with EW (via Bloody Disgusting), Snyder described the film:

“It is a full-blown, balls-to-the-wall zombie heist movie, so it’s genre-on-genre in a great way.

So you expect pure zombie mayhem, and you get that, 100 percent.

But also you get these really amazing characters on a fantastic journey.

It’s going to surprise people that there’s a lot of warmth and real emotion with these great characters.”

Snyder isn’t a stranger to zombie films, as he previously directed the 2004 Dawn Of The Dead remake, which was also his directorial debut.
