Axiom Verge 2 Delayed To Q3 2021
If you’re looking forward to a neo-retro Metroidvania game this year, you may have to wait a little longer.
Axiom Verge 2, the sequel to the 2015 indie Metroidvania game made by one Thomas Happ, will be delayed to Q3 2021. Previously, it was supposed to come out “this Spring”, presumably next month or so.
According to Happ, the game “will be better for the additional [delay] time”. He also can avoid burnout and crunch by pushing the release date a bit. In the meantime, you can watch the Making Of documentary of the first game produced by 2 Player Production (via IGN).
Check out Axiom Verge 2’s gameplay below. Also, think of this delay as a chance to catch up and play the first Axiom Verge.
