Ubisoft Announces Change In Office; CEO Still At The Top

Ubisoft recently made a post that addresses the allegations of misconduct in all Ubisoft offices worldwide. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated that the company has partnered with Accenture to conduct a thorough audit of the company’s global HR organization, processes, and policies.

“As a result, we strengthened our non-discrimination and anti-harassment policies. We also have created new HR processes and fully updated our internal Code of Fair Conduct. The Code is clearer, more comprehensive, and more actionable. It will be mandatory for all team members to sign when it is published in June. “

The company has also appointed and recruited new leaders at the executive level: Anika Grant as Chief People Officer, Belén Essioux-Trujillo as an independent member of Ubisoft Board of Directors, and a few others on this list to diversify the hires.

“Considerable progress has been made, and we will continue to work hard with the ambition of becoming an exemplary workplace in the tech industry.”

Previously, the company responded to a recent GamesIndustry.biz piece concerning the minimal changes they’ve done to its workplace environment.

“Over a period of several months, Ubisoft has implemented major changes across its organization, internal processes and procedures in order to guarantee a safe, inclusive and respectful working environment for all team members.”

There’s really not much to say here, except that the effects of these change will only crop up in a few months or so. It’s also interesting to note that CEO Yves Guillemot is still in the same position pre-allegations, so it’s safe to say that all this shuffling is not affecting him in the slightest. And what good timing too, since E3 2021 is just a few weeks away!

Good for him. I’m sure many people are cheering for his actions as soon as the announcement was made…
