You Can Now Play Skyrim For The Umpteenth Time With This Anniversary Edition

Bethesda just announced another new version of its 2011 hit RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim during QuakeCon 2011, because it’s the series’ 10th anniversary. This time it’s called The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition.

This Skyrim will include the Special Edition of the game (complete with the base game and its three expansions: Dragonborn, Dawnguard, Hearthfire) and over 500 unique Creation Club elements. If you own the Special Edition on your platform(s), you can upgrade to the Anniversary Edition for an unannounced cost to access the additional content.

Additionally, current and future owners of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on any platform will receive access to three free pieces of Creation Club content: “Fishing,” “Survival Mode,: and new quests with “Saints and Seducers.” We’re not sure if you should do this if you’re a PC gamer and are used to Skyrim’s plethora of free mods. However, you can upgrade your PS4/Xbox One version of your Skyrim to the PS5/Xbox Series version for free.

This version of a game that has way too many ports will be available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4, and PS5 on 11th November; an appropriate date given that the original Skyrim came out on 11th November 2011.
