Cookie Clicker Deserves All The Mouse Button Presses It Gets

Cookie Clicker is on Steam, Yes, the 2013 browser game is now an official PC paid game where all you do is click on a cookie for results.

I wholeheartedly recommend it for its price. It’s the OG idle/clicker game, now with a revved-up look, that comes with lo-fi music, just one major screen, and a cookie that needs clicking. It’s a habit-forming game that just rakes in the clicks from you as you build your cookie empire, hire grandmas to make cookies for you, and even plant cookie trees for more cookies. And also giggle at the occasional message or two that pops up at the top centre of the game screen. That’s it.

And guess what? I’m not the only one who would pay money for this absurd yet relaxing idle clicker game. Everyone else on the Steam reviews are putting in their sincere reviews for the title.

Look, not all games have to be high art or stuff blowing up out of cathartic pleasure. Sometimes all you want out of your gaming is the opportunity to just farm cookies through mouse clicks and get easy Steam achievements while having it run in the background while you’re typing out on your word processor or watching a movie on your computer.

Cookie Clicker does this so well. It doesn’t slow down or burn out when you’re leaving it idle, and you can shrink the game screen any way you want. Plus, you can play it offline. So yeah, turn your brain off and give in to the crumbles.

Final Score: Click Out Of 10
