New The King of Fighters XV Character Is Fresh As All Heck

SNK just revealed the name of the mysterious trendy girl in earlier The King of Fighters XV trailers a month or so ago. Her name is Isla, she’s voiced by Lynn of Keijo! and Fuuka fame, and she kicks all kinds of ass.

As you can tell from the trailer and high-level gameplay above, Isla has nice spacing and footsie tools thanks to her purple magic hands, has a couple of air Desperation Move (like her sweet dropkick), a divekick, and a double jump. Something tells us she’s going to be a crowd favourite, especially with her cocky & crass attitude towards the cast and the fight she’s in.

Isla is going to be one of the spotlight characters next to KOF XIV Shun’ei; seems like they have a rivalry going on in the game’s new story mode. Unlike Shun’ei, Isla always has her purple magic hands out, thus she fights with her actual hands in the pockets of her bomber jacket. If that doesn’t scream fighting game coolness, we don’t know what does.

The King of Fighters XV will be out on 17th February 2022 for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
