Multiple Blizzard Games Are Experiencing Outages Due To DDOS Attack [Update]
Update: it’s fine now.
Multiple games by Blizzard Entertainment that run on Battle.net are experiencing outages like Overwatch, Hearthstone, and Diablo 3 up to now.
This is due to a confirmed distributed denial-of-service attack, or DDoS, targeted at Battle.net itself. The outages and bugs happened over the course of the morning in GMT+8 time. Tech support at Blizzard has confirmed the server issues will disrupt players; no doubt this will cause disconnects and high latency for online play. You may have to avoid competitive play for now until the DDoS issue is resolved.
