Spider-Man Spider-Verse Sequel Teaser Reveals A Futuristic Spidey

In a surprising move, Sony Pictures has unveiled our first look at the upcoming sequel to 2018’s Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse. The movie will be officially titled Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse Part One, which is slated to premiere in October 2022.
The Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse Part One teaser trailer shows Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) in his dorm room and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) jumping from her reality to meet him. We see Miles jumping across the Spider-Verse and entering the world of none other than Spider-Man 2099, who was originally teased in the Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse post-credits scene and will be played by Oscar Isaac.
The sequence with Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2099 also teases a possible art style change for the upcoming movie. However, we still don’t know if the other Spider-Men from the previous will be reprising their roles, including Spider-Ham (John Mulaney), Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage), Peni Parker (Kimiko Glenn), and Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson).
Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse Part One is written by Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Dave Callaham (Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings). The movie will be directed by the trio of Joaquim Dos Santos (The Legend Of Korra), Justin K. Thompson (a production designer on the original movie), and Kemp Powers (Pixar’s Soul).
